We had a very successful retreat! Thank you to the 25 retreatants! It was a wonderful time of spiritual reflection and fellowship, with great talks, group sharing, mass and confession. If you missed this one, hopefully we'll see you next year! Thank you to the core group planning team as well!

The faith sharing group will be meeting at Assumption BVM parish (Colesville) Bethlehem. We are excited to begin this new phase of our Faith Sharing family. Assumption is my home parish and is a very active church with things going on all the time. It is located on Old Bethlehem Pike and Oakhurst Drive near the Promenade Shoppes at Saucon Valley We will be meeting in the Coll Room at the Jubilee Center. As a parishoner I also have access to the parish library which is located in the next room and may furnish us with some videos and or materials in the future. We hope that you will consider joining our Faith Sharing family on Thursday Night Feburary 5 at 7:15 pm.

Those who regularly attend faith sharing already know this, but for any new comers we have moved our Thursday Faith Sharing Group to the Dining Hall of St. Michael's School at Assumption Parish on Old Bethlehem Pike in Bethlehem. The dining hall is located next to the Hanlon Center Annex. The reason for the change is because Assumption Parish has formed a Knights of Columbus group and they meet each third Thursday in the Coll Room. The scheduler said that it would be more convient for all if we use the Dining Hall so that it is in one consistent place. We plan on bringing in several speakers during the course of the year to discuss various aspects of "putting our faith into action". We also willl be doing a biblical reflection on the upcoming Sunday Liturgy. We have been asking members to volunteer (like good Tenneseeans) to lead a week in the spring. I will provide the scripture and historical/ cultural background and some sample questions. The leader can also add anything that they got from the reading and make their own questions. It is our purpose that people can relate to the readings and apply them to their own life. We are also considering obtaining a good catholic book and using that for discussion. Mary Francis and Mateo are engaged! Congratulations to the happy couple and Lord thank you for bringing these two together for their upcoming May 2011 sacramental marriage. We pray that their engagement is happy and holy and filled with grace.

Due to Holy Thursday Mass at ABVM the church has decided that the entire ABVM campus will not be open on Holy Thursday so that everyone can attend the Mass of the Lord's Supper at 7pm in the main church. Therefore, we will not have Faith Sharing on April 1, 2010. We will continue to have regular meetings starting Thursday April 8, 2010.
