After finishing the series on the Gospel of Matthew in our new Faith Sharing series we will turn our attention to the Letter of St. James. James gives us a practical framework for living out the gospel message in the world. St. James has a unique perspective on Jesus' ministry being a close relative of the Savior who initially doubted Jesus' divinity. After his conversion James became an outspoken leader in the early church and eventually the Bishop of Jerusalem where he suffered martyrdom. Join us for a series of interactive lectures on the Epistle of James.
Assumption BVM, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. Thursdays in the cafeteria 7:30 - 9. email Gerry@abcya.org if you have any questions.
Due to the Bishop holding Confirmation at Assumption BVM Church on Thursday February 17 the office has cancelled all other activities for that night. We will resume with Faith Sharing on Thursday February 24 at 7:30 pm. If you have any questions please contact Gerry at gerry@abcya.org
How exciting, it's time to hop on board with the Coalition Of Life and Join the 40 Days for Life!
What, Where, Who and Why?
40 Days for Life is a Pro-Life campaign that has saved more than 2800 lives from abortion!
A valuable component of the campaign will be the 40-day prayer vigil outside the local abortion clinic at 1409 Union Blvd in Allentown.

There will also be a MEETING on Monday, Feb. 21st at 7pm at Panera Bread on Tilgman St. in Allentown. Everyone is invited to come and find out more information.
The object is to get at least 1 person to pray in front of the center for each hour they are open from March 9 - April 17th.
On a side note, Ruthie typing here, I just finished reading unPLANNED by Abby Johnson which is a dramatic true story of a former Planned Parenthood leader's eye-opening journey across the life line....check it out, it's eye opening and very good!
This is not an ABCYA sponsored activity but a few of our members have already signed up and we thought more might like to join. A dinner, dance class and dance is being held at St. Catharine of Siena Cathedral. The cost is $25 to attend and includes a casual buffet dinner by Estell's Catering, dance instruction by Con Gallagher, and then dancing to DJ Best of Times. Mr. Gallagher will be giving a lesson on the East Coast Swing (formerly known as the Jitterbug) and the Foxtrot (basic ballroom dance). The Cathedral is located a few blocks from the fairgrounds at 1825 West Turner St. I have attached a flyer as well. RSVP (required) by calling 610-434-3796 or emailing waemails@aol.com or simply mailing a check made payable to the Women's Alliance c/o J. Treadwell 21 South 23 rd St. Apt. A Allentown, PA 18104.
